 EU food regulations relevant for Tropifood program:

   wheat products, like noodles. Important: fusarium toxine levels

Most important: food safety = HACCP or better, raw material traceability, additives as allowed, contaminations below tolerated levels., especially with wheat items: fusarium toxine levels

Ochratoxine (OTA) ù < 3 ppm

Deoxynivalenol (DON)Ż¶  < 750 ppm

Zearalenon  (ZEA) ׳ùϩͪ < 75 ppm

Pb ( lead) < 200 microgram

Afla B1   < 2 ppm,  B1+B2 + G1 + G2 < 4 ppm

 

 

    artificial colourants in drinks, sauces, etc: Important: NO ' Southampton Six"  colourants, likesynthetic azo dyes, otherwise known as the �Southampton Six�: sunset yellow (E110), quinoline yellow (E104), carmoisine (E122), allura red (E129), tartrazine (E102), and Ponceau 4R (E124), as on every food product with these additives in, MUST be mentioned: "may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children".

   fruit juices and drinks:

see EU directive 2001/112/EG: for a �juice� it MUST be 100% real juice. For a �nectar� or �drink�, it MUST BE � depending on the type of fruit � over 25 % of real juice.
